high net worth investor is an individual who has signed, within the period of twelve months ending with the day on which the communication is made, a statement in the following terms:
“HIGH NET WORTH INVESTOR STATEMENT”
I make this statement so that I can receive promotional communications which are exempt from the restriction on promotion of non-mainstream pooled investments. The exemption relates to certified high net worth investors and I declare that I qualify as such because at least one of the following applies to me:
- I had, throughout the financial year immediately preceding the date below, an annual income to the value of £100,000 or more. Annual income for these purposes does not include money withdrawn from my pension savings (except where the withdrawals are used directly for income in retirement).
- I held, throughout the financial year immediately preceding the date below, net assets to the value of £250,000 or more. Net assets for these purposes do not include:
- the property which is my primary residence or any money raised through a loan secured on that property; or
- any rights of mine under a qualifying contract of insurance; or
- any benefits (in the form of pensions or otherwise) which are payable on the termination of my service or on my death or retirement and to which I am (or my dependants are), or may be, entitled; or
- any withdrawals from my pension savings (except where the withdrawals are used directly for income in retirement).
- I accept that the investments to which the promotions will relate may expose me to a significant risk of losing all of the money or other property invested. I am aware that it is open to me to seek advice from an authorised person who specialises in advising on non-mainstream pooled investments.
A qualified investor is:- a financial intermediary regulated by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA or a central bank;
- an insurance institution regulated by FlNMA;
- a public or private entity with professional treasury operations;
- an independent asset manager who has undertaken in writing to only use any information made available to it in relation to the Partnership for clients that are qualified investors;or
- a high net worth individual who either (A) holds assets in an amount exceeding CHF 5 million, including immovable assets with a net worth of up to CHF 2 million, or (B) holds bankable assets exceeding CHF 500,000 and, in addition, has enough knowledge of the risks of an investment in the Partnership based on individual education and professional experience or based on comparable experience in the financial sector.
The following qualify as assets referred to in paragraph 5 above:
- bank credit balances at sight or on demand;
- trust funds;
- securities including collective investment schemes and structured products;
- Derivatives;
- precious metals;
- life insurance policies with a surrender value.

Semi-Professional Investor
This includes all investors qualifying as semi-professional investors under KAGB § 1 Begriffsbestimmungen. Semi-professional investors are required to invest a minimum of €200,000.

- You have carried out transactions in private equity funds before
- You have worked for a private equity firm as an employee
- You have been involved in a due diligence process for private equity funds
- You have been involved with private equity transactions as an investor, advisor or manager
The investor certifies all the statements below are true:
- You have sufficient liquidity or income to fulfill the long-term commitment of a private equity funds
- You are aware of the long-term nature and potential illiquidity of private equity funds
- You understand private equity funds are high risk investments and that principal return is not guaranteed
